Introduction 

This article provides detailed information about the serial pinout of the Panduit Elevate to Power (EL2P) PDU.
 

Purpose 

The purpose of this article is to provide clear guidance on the correct pinout, terminal settings, and required equipment to ensure a successful serial connection to the EL2P PDU. It is intended for customers and technical staff who need to establish a serial connection from a PC to the PDU for configuration or troubleshooting.

Requirements

PC or laptop with a USB port


USB-to-RJ45 Console Cable


Terminal emulation software (e.g., PuTTY, Tera Term, or HyperTerminal)
Physical access to the Panduit EL2P PDU
 

The RJ45 serial pinout of the EL2P PDU is shown below (viewed from the front of the RJ45 jack):
- TX: Pin 2
- RX: Pin 3
- Ground: Pins 5 and 6

This pinout was specifically designed so that a direct connection works without the need for the Panduit MA017 adapter.
