Introduction

This article provides essential information regarding the Panduit G6 Power Distribution Units (PDUs) with firmware version 5.2.5 and their compatibility with Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) Servers.

 

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to inform users and system integrators about the RADIUS server compatibility with Panduit G6 PDUs running firmware version 5.2.5.

Requirements 

Panduit G6 PDUs only support RADIUS servers in standalone mode ensuring that authentication and access control functions properly when configured this way.


It is essential to understand that high availability (HA) or clustering of RADIUS servers is not supported for this firmware version. If you are looking to implement a multi-server or fault-tolerant configuration, please note that these setups will not work with G6 PDUs on firmware version 5.2.5. The system has only been tested and confirmed to work in standalone mode, which is the recommended configuration.

FreeRADIUS versions 3.2.3 and 3.2.5 have been extensively tested and confirmed to operate reliably in standalone mode with the Panduit G6 PDU.
