UPS NMC Connection to UPS

Introduction
Sometimes it might be required to replace or ensure that the NMC (Network Management Controller) is fully connected to the backplane circuit board of the UPSPurpose
This article outlines the procedure to remove the NMC from the UPS and ensure the ribbon cable that connects the NMC to the UPS is fully connected.Procedure
- With the system completely powered off, remove two small screws on sides of NMC. (Circled)
- Slide out and remove NMC.
3. Remove Intelligent Slot bracket screws. (Circled)
4. Slide out Intelligent Slot Bracket.
5. Identify if rear connector is still clipped into the bracket. If it is not, use needle nose pliers, or similar tool to pull out from interior. Align connector with bracket as shown.
6. Snap connector back into the bracket. Connector should feel secure.
7. Note the position of the guide rails inside the bracket. Align and insert the NMC back into the bracket.
8. Insert NMC fully so that it fits snugly into the connector. It is suggested to hold both ends as pictured to ensure connection.
9. Replace the small NMC screws to secure the connection. (circled)
10. Push the bracket assembly back into the Intelligent Slot opening. Secure the bracket with the two screws. (circled)
