How to Configure Syslog on ES2P PDU

Introduction 

This document provides a step-by-step guide to configure ES2P PDU to send a Syslog message.

 

Purpose (H2)

 

The PDU can automatically synchronize system logs and can upload these to a designated syslog server.
 

 

Requirements (H2)

 

• Access to ES2P PDU web GUI with administrator privileges
• Syslog server

 

 

Procedure (H2)

 

1. Log in to ES2P PDU web console with administrator privileges.

2. Click the gear icon > Syslog

 

 

3. Under Syslog Configuration, fill in with the necessary information:

 

Server – IP address of the server to receive the syslog data
Port – Set the syslog service port (Default is port 54)
 

4. Click ‘Apply’ to save the changes

5. Under Syslog Test, click ‘Apply’ to send a test syslog message
